RnM: The Bride of Monstywise
(Monstywise’s P.O.V.):It’s been a few months since I first arrived in this city of Bevelhorn, and also a few months since I reverted from my terrorizing ways, but I somehow still felt incomplete, even as I finished eating a platter of bacon. “Ah, bacon…” I sighed. “Oh, how much I’ve missed out, in all my years of existence. “Where have you been, all my life?” I went on, eating the last piece, and then looking about the empty sewers. I know, my new home isn’t the best place for real estate, but it’s perfect, for me: it’s roomy, just perfect for my size, but the one drawback is that it gets so lonely, down here. My mind wandered, for a while, until I recalled two of my new friends, Robot DeFault and Monster Krumholtz. “I wonder how the boys are?” I wondered, aloud, before morphing into a shadow, and slithering into the open. “I better find out.” I wound through the streets, until I found a familiar apartment building; I knew that was where the boys lived. “I hope I’m not intruding.” I muttered, before slithering into the building, and snaking my way to the right apartment. Robot and Monster were sitting on their couch, watching the tube, and sharing a bowl of pop-bacon; I morphed back into my clown-self, but their pet cube, Marf, went crazy, at the sight of me.“Oh, Marf,” Monster gasped. “What’s wrong?”Marf charged at me, but he just bounced off my leg, while I just stood, embarrassed about intruding, at a bad time. “Monstywise?” Robot asked, raising an “eyebrow”.“What are you doing here?” Monster piped up.“Uh, w-well, I, uh…” I stammered, before getting right to the point. “Well, this might sound a little crazy, but I wanted someone to talk to.”Marf did growl, but Monster made him halt, and said, “Marf, be nice.”“It…” I went on. “It gets lonely, down in the sewers, guys.”“Oh.” Robot nodded. “Oh, we’re sorry, Monstywise,” Monster gasped, before smiling, sweetly. “But you can always hang out with us!”“Yeah, and besides,” Robot added. “You’ve been improving much more, these days.”I did smile, slightly, but that smile faded, when I remembered why I felt lonely, and Monster noticed. “Is there something else?” he asked.“W-Well, it’s kinda silly,” I stammered. “But I’m a little envious of you, Monster.”“Envious?” Monster asked, again.“You managed to get a beautiful woman, but…” I sighed. “Oh, never mind, it’s stupid…”“Aw, come on, Monstywise,” Monster urged. “Tell us.”“Well,” I sighed, again. “I don’t know if there’s another demon like myself, out there…”At that, both boys looked at each other, and Monster figured it out; “Oh, you want someone in your life, don’t you?” he asked.“Well…” I nodded, slowly. “Yes.”“Aw, there has to be someone, out there?” Monster replied.“Uh, sorry to say this,” Robot added, with a slight frown. “But I doubt that.”“So do I, Robot…” I sighed, as Monster glared at his best friend. “Besides, who would want to be with a demon, for all eternity? “Well,” I went on. “At least I can still admire, from afar.”“Er, unless there’s a way?” Robot piped up, a little nervous about Monster glaring at him.“Look, I appreciate you trying to help, fellas,” I sighed, again, looking out the window. “But I’m pretty sure no sane woman would want a man who eats bacon like an animal.”Suddenly, I thought I heard Monster say, “Maybe we can make a lover, for you!”I turned to face them, cleaning out my ear, and replied, “Uh, could you repeat that? “I think my ear was clogged, or something.” I went on.Robot then piped up, “Uh, we’ll see what we can do, Monstywise, just leave it to us.”“But, Robot-...!” Monster began, before Robot covered his mouth. “Mmph!”“We’ll take care of this, Monstywise,” Robot chuckled, nervously. “Don’t worry about a thing.”“Okay, then…?” I replied, now confused. “I’ll see you guys later, I guess…?” I morphed into a shadow, and left the apartment. “What’s with those two, anyway???” I wondered, to myself.(Robot’s P.O.V.):As Monstywise left, I sighed, in relief, and uncovered Monster’s mouth, but he glared, slightly, “Robot, what was that for? “I was trying to help out.” he went on.“I know,” I replied. “But I was thinking we should make it a surprise, for him.”Monster’s smile instantly returned, and he nodded, “Oh, that makes sense!” “Monster,” I announced. “Together, we’re gonna help Monstywise, and build him a bride!” “Ooh, that’s even better!” he gasped. “How are we gonna make this bride-to-be?”“I have an idea…” I replied, and boy, did I have a crazy idea; so crazy, it just might work!Later, after making a phone call, and getting everything else ready, Monster asked, “How are we gonna get Monstywise’s DNA?”“I’m not sure,” I answered, “But we’ll figure something out.”“Oh, I hope Lizzie doesn’t mind this.” Monster sighed. “Me, too…” I nodded.(my P.O.V.):As I made my way to Robot and Monster’s apartment, one afternoon, I couldn’t help but wonder what those boys wanted me, for, but I was about to find out, after that strange phone call. When I finally arrived, I knocked on the door, and I heard Monster call out, “Coming!” He opened the door, and greeted me with his usual sweet smile, “Oh, Lizzie, there you are!”“Afternoon, fellas.” I greeted, back.“Hey, Lizzie,” Robot replied. “Glad you could make it.”“What do you need me, for?” I asked.“Well, you see,” Robot began. “Monster and I plan on making a bride, for Monstywise, and-...”“Wait a minute,” I interrupted, remembering how Monstywise seemed to admire me, out of all the women, in town. “I’m not gonna marry him!”“N-No, no, not that way,” Robot explained, shaking his “head”. “We just need a DNA sample from you.”“Oh,” I understood, plucking a hair from my head. “Well, glad to oblige.”“Ah, thank you.” Robot smiled, placing the hair into a vial. “Now, we need Monstywise’s DNA.”“Oh, I don’t think that’ll be easy,” Monster worried. “Especially since we want this to be a surprise for him.”“Unless we can get his fur, without him noticing?” Robot suggested.“I hope it works.” Monster sighed.(Monstywise’s P.O.V.):As I sat back in the sewers, all alone, I sighed, to myself, “I wish those two would say something, they’re acting funnier than usual.” I sighed, again, before my nose detected something rather delicious. “Mmm, I wonder what that is?” I mused.“Monstywise?” I heard Monster’s voice echo, through the pipes.“Where are you?” Robot’s voice added.“Guys?” I answered.A few seconds later, I saw the boys approaching, and Monster was carrying a large pot, of some kind. “Oh, there you are!” he smiled. “We brought something for you.”“Oh, what is it?” I asked, eyeing the pot.“Nice, warm bacon broth.” Monster smiled.I removed the lid, smelled the broth, and licked my lips, “Mmm…”“We thought it might help cheer you up, a bit.” Monster went on.“Aww, guys,” I smiled, back. “You shouldn’t have.”“It’s the least we could do,” Monster replied. “Besides, it’s made with love.”“Of course it is,” I chuckled, before taking the pot, and drinking the broth, straight from it. “Oh yeah, I think I feel the love.” As I paused, I felt something nip at the back of my head, and I looked around; “Huh?” I wondered. With nothing behind me, I figured something bit me, and I scoffed, “Huh, darn bugs… “Oh well.” I shrugged, guzzling down more of the broth. I finally stopped, after a minute or two, and sighed, “Ooh, that was good.” When I finally looked down, I realized I drunk the whole pot of broth down to the last drop! I felt kinda sheepish, and blushed, “Oops…”“Don’t worry, Monstywise,” Monster giggled. “Robot and I made that pot of broth, just for you.”“Besides,” Robot added. “We still have some, left, at the apartment.”“Thanks,” I smiled, a bit. “I feel a little better, now.”“Good.” Monster smiled, back, patting my shoulder.“And I suppose you’ll need this back?” I inquired, handing them the empty pot and lid. “Yep.” Monster nodded. “Well, we best get going, now, Monstywise,” Robot added. “I’m working on an invention, and I want to get it finished, as soon as possible.”“Oh, well, thanks, for the broth.” I nodded“Any time, Monstywise,” Robot replied. “We’ll see you later.”“See ya.” I waved, still curious about what he and Monster were up to.(my P.O.V.):While Robot and Monster went to gather a DNA sample from Monstywise, I stayed at the apartment, to draw out the design for the sewer creature’s bride-to-be. “I’ll give her my likeness,” I mused, drawing her with an augmented figure, pigtails, and an appropriate clown costume. “With a few changes, of course.” When the boys returned to the apartment, I revealed the design, and they approved it; “Ooh, he’s gonna love that!” Monster gasped, excitedly. “This’ll be a huge success!”“Let’s hope so, buddy.” Robot replied. A few minutes later, I set up a 3D printer, and sighed, “Ah, there we go, all set.”“Thanks, Lizzie,” Robot nodded, bringing out his microscope. “Now, to combine these two DNA samples.” As he put the two samples on a slide, he waited a few seconds, until the cells fused together, and began multiplying. “It’s working!” he smiled, rubbing his claws together. “Soon, we’ll create life.”“Ooh, this is gonna be big!” Monster gasped.“Hope you know what you’re doing.” I replied.Robot then filled a syringe with the new DNA combination, and chuckled, gleefully, “This, combined with Lizzie’s design, will make a wonderful bride.”“You might be the first inventor, to create life!” Monster piped up.“Oh, we’ll see, Monster.” Robot replied, injecting the new DNA into a compartment of the 3D printer, and switching it on.“How long should this take?” Monster asked. “A few hours, at least.” Robot answered. “In the meantime, I’ll make sure these traits are perfect.”“Oh, I’ll make us some snacks, too!” Monster gasped, rushing to the kitchen.“Let’s see, sharp teeth, check.” Robot muttered. “Shadow-morphing powers, check.”“Will she be immortal, too?” Monster asked, poking his head into the living room.“Yep.” Robot nodded. “Oh, I hope this works.”As the hours ticked by, the 3D printer set to work, even creating a skeleton, and internal organs, including a brain, thanks to a built-in x-ray. “Good…” Robot nodded. “Good, everything’s going according to plan. “Oh, what a beautiful bride she’ll be.” he smiled. “I can see the wedding, already!” Monster sighed, dreamily.“Anything to keep that Monstywise from going after me, again.” I thought. As another hour passed, the Bride’s form was finally complete, but not exactly alive, yet. “Ooh, she looks amazing!” Monster gasped.“And tall enough.” I mused.“I hope Monstywise likes her,” Monster went on. “He seemed pretty sad, earlier, today…”“Did he?” I asked, as Monster nodded. “Hmm, poor guy.”“So, hopefully,” he continued. “We’re gonna make him the happiest demon, ever!”“There’s one more ingredient we need to add,” Robot piped up, holding up a pair of jumper cables, and wheeling out a generator. “A little touch of electricity, my friends.”“Ooh…!” Monster gasped. At that, Robot attached the cables to the Bride’s fingers, while I attached the other ends to the generator. “All connected.” I nodded, giving a thumbs-up.“This creation will be one of the best, yet,” Robot chuckled, eagerly rubbing his claws, again, and winding a lever on the generator. “And it might become my new favorite kind of science!”“Maybe I better step back…!” I gulped, cautiously backing away.As the generator reached maximum power, Robot smirked, “Monster, you know what to do.”“Right.” Monster anxiously nodded, putting on a pair of goggles, and putting his paw on a different lever. “Now?”“Now!” Robot ordered, once the electricity reached maximum capacity. Monster pulled the lever, and the electricity flowed to the Bride’s fingertips, and coursed through her body. “Perfect!” Robot cheered. “Oh, this is a lot of power!” Monster gasped.“Yes, and it’s almost there!” Robot nodded. After a few seconds, he turned to Monster, and ordered, “Now, shut it off!”Monster turned off the generator, lifted off his goggles, and asked, “Uh… is something supposed to happen…?”“She should be moving, by now.” Robot coughed.“I don’t see anything.” I piped up.Robot observed the motionless Bride, and frowned, “I don’t get it… it was supposed to work…”The depressed Mechanical turned to roll away, when Monster noticed something, and gasped, “Robot, look!”Robot spun around, surprised, and asked, “What?”“She’s moving!” Monster explained. “Looks like the reaction was delayed, after all.”“No way…!” I gasped, noticing the Bride’s hand twitching.“Robot,” Monster gasped, again. “You’ve created life!”“I… I did it!” Robot gasped, as well, as his grin widened. “She’s alive! “She’s ALIVE!!!” he cheered.“Oh boy, oh boy!” Monster nearly squealed, as the Bride raised her arms, and growled, softly. “Won’t Monstywise be thrilled!”“She’s the perfect bride.” Robot grinned, rubbing his claws, together. The Bride slowly sat up, stretched, and cracked her neck, before finally speaking, “Ooh… What’s shakin’, toots?”“Have we got a surprise, for you, Lizzywise,” Monster explained, giving her an official name. “A potential husband awaits you!”“‘Husband’, you say?” the newly-named Lizzywise asked.“Come with us,” Robot added on, disconnecting the cables from her fingers. “We’ll take you to him.”“He’s gonna love you!” Monster chimed in, helping her stand up.“And where is he?” Lizzywise asked.“You might find this strange,” Monster explained. “But he lives in the sewers.”“Hmm,” Lizzywise mused. “I can live with that.”(Monstywise’s P.O.V.):Even though Robot and Monster helped cheer me up, a little, with a whole pot of bacon broth, I was still a little baffled with how they were acting. As I lazed around the sewers, the hours ticked away, and I observed a tiny spider, spinning a web. “Keep spinnin’ little guy…” I sighed, still a little depressed.“Oh, Monstywise?” I heard Monster’s voice echoing, again. “Where are you?”“Huh???” I perked up. “They’re back, again???”“We got a surprise for you!” Monster called, again.I followed his voice, and there stood Robot, Monster, and Monster’s girlfriend, Lizzie, and they looked like they were hiding something. “Now, I know I said I was working on an invention, earlier,” Robot began. “But that was only half-correct.”“‘Half-correct’?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.“I wasn’t the only one who worked on it,” Robot explained. “Monster and Lizzie both helped out.”I only sighed, not catching onto their riddle, and asked, again, “All right, fellas, what are you going on about?”“Well, since you’ve been getting better, these days,” Monster smiled. “We decided to make you a gift.”“Another one?” I asked.“Oh, this is even better than bacon,” Monster went on. “And it’ll last longer!”I didn’t know what they meant, until Robot explained, “Monstywise, we’ve achieved the impossible, and made you a bride.”At the word, “bride”, I was taken aback, but when the group stood aside, a tall, beautiful Organic stepped forward: she had aqua-green skin, a purple jester costume with a lavender feather in her three-cornered hat, brown hair, brown eyes, and purple makeup, on her face. I could have sworn my hat bounced on my head, at the sight of her! “Behold!” Robot announced.“Meet Lizzywise.” Monster added. After getting over my shock and awe, I bowed to her, and Lizzywise greeted, “Hiya, tall, dark, and handsome.”“Hello, beautiful.” I replied, standing straight, again.“So, you’re my husband-to-be?” Lizzywise asked, stepping closer.“I believe so.” I smiled, kissing her hand.“I didn’t imagine you to be this handsome, big boy.” she grinned, baring some of her sharp teeth.“My, what lovely teeth you have,” I gasped. “And what lovely eyes you have.”“You’re not bad, yourself.” she giggled.“Same to you, my love.” I purred, pulling her closer, and dipping her.“Aww,” Monster gasped, happily. “True love!”“You guys really did this, for me?” I asked, allowing my new bride-to-be to stand up, straight.“Yep!” Monster nodded, still wearing his sweet smile.“Of course,” Robot added. “You needed someone.”“Thank you, guys,” I smiled. “100 times, thank you! “Oh,” I gasped, turning to Lizzywise, again. “Won’t Globitha be excited to see you!”“Who’s Globitha?” she asked. “She’s my kid sister.” Monster answered.“And one of my best friends,” I added. “She’s just a little ball of bouncy energy! “I think you’ll love her.” I sighed, happily.“I’m sure she’ll be thrilled!” Monster nodded.“Shall we, then?” I asked, offering my arm to my new bride.“Let’s.” she agreed, taking it.“Now, before we go up to the surface,” I warned. “There’s something I think you should know, about this town. “The citizens can get a little, um…” I finished, making a “cuckoo” sign and whistle.“Oh, I wondered why some people stared at me.” Lizzywise nodded.“I won’t let anyone stare at you,” I vowed, sounding a little grim. “I’ll make sure of it.”At that, Lizzywise hugged me, and sighed, “Oh, you’re the best, and I’ve only known you, for a few minutes.”I smiled, turning back to the group, and said, “Again, thank you, so much.”“Any time.” Robot nodded.“Go on, lovebirds!” Monster urged. I couldn’t wait to show my best friend my new bride-to-be, and the two of us headed to the streets of Bevelhorn, and to a quaint house.(Globitha’s P.O.V.):I was sitting in my bedroom, not doing much, when I heard a low clattering sound, coming from one of the vents. “Huh?” I wondered aloud. Suddenly, a dark shadow seeped through the vent, and appeared in front of me; when the shadow morphed, and took the shape of someone familiar, my fear went away. “Oh, Monstywise,” I gasped, before leaping into his arms. “You’re back!”“Hey,” he chuckled, back. “My little Globy!”“What are you doing here?” I asked.“Globitha,” Monsty announced. “There’s someone very special I want you to meet.”“Who?” I asked, curious about his new friend. With that, he stepped to the side, and announced, “Meet my new bride, Lizzywise!” “Uh, ‘bride’?” I asked. Suddenly, another shadow seeped out of the vent, and morphed into a lady of some kind. “Yike!” I gasped, as the lady finally stood next to Monsty.“Well, hey, there, cutie!” she greeted.“What do you think?” Monstywise asked. “Isn’t she the definition of beauty?”I looked her over, and she was pretty, I give her that; “Gee, she sure is pretty,” I nodded. “And you’re gonna get married, soon?”“Yep.” Monsty nodded, back.“You sure have good taste, Monsty.” I replied.“Oh, you flatterer, you!” Lizzywise giggled, blushing.“Isn’t she perfect, Lizzywise?” Monsty asked, turning to his bride-to-be.“She sure is.” she smiled, now hugging me, next.“Monsty,” I giggled. “I didn’t know there was another demon, like you, out here.”“I didn’t, either,” Monsty shrugged. “But here she is.”Monstywise seemed very much in love with this new lady, but I never saw her, before; “How long have you known her?” I asked.“Um…?” he answered. “About ten minutes ago?” “Ten minutes???” I asked, giving a funny look.“Love at first sight, you might say.” he clarified.“Oh, like those princess stories that my dad read to me, sometimes.” I realized, feeling a little dreamy. “Wow. “How did you get here, Lizzywise?” I asked. “Or am I too young to know?”“Oh, it’s not that, it’s just that… well…” Monsty stammered. “She was made, for me.”“‘Made’?” I asked.“I don’t know how they did it, but they did,” he sighed, dreamily. “And I’m grateful to spend the rest of my life with her.”“Who’s ‘they’?” I asked, again.“Robot and Monster,” Monsty replied. “And Lizzie helped, as well.”I looked at Lizzywise, again, and I saw the resemblance between her and Monster’s girlfriend; “Yeah, I can kinda tell,” I nodded. “She almost looks like her.”“I thought I’d spend the rest of my days, in the dark, lonely sewers…” Monsty sighed, before snapping out of it. “Anyway, I’m planning something special, for dinner, tonight.”“Oh, like what?” I asked, as Lizzywise set me down. “Something…” Monsty mused, turning to his pretty bride-to-be. “Romantic.”“Ooh!” I gasped. “Hope you two have a good time.”“Oh, we will,” Monsty replied, hugging me. “Be a good girl, okay?”“I will,” I nodded, hugging him, back. “And it was nice meeting you, Lizzywise.”“Nice meeting you, too.” Lizzywise replied, ruffling my hair.“Good luck, you two.” I giggled.“Thanks, kiddo,” Monsty smiled, before turning to Lizzywise. “Let’s go, darling.”“To our dinner date.” she sighed, before they both morphed into shadows. “Bye!” I waved, as they slithered out, through the air vent. “What a couple.” I giggled. I don’t know when that wedding was gonna happen, but I bet it’s gonna be soon.(Monstywise’s P.O.V.): Later that day, I took my new bride-to-be by my side, and we discussed our upcoming dinner date; “And what’s on the menu, tonight?” Lizzywise asked. “Hmm, how about a nice, big bacon roast?” I suggested, nearly drooling. “Mmm, sounds delicious.” she smiled. Suddenly I began drooling, a little, before I caught myself, in embarrassment; “Forgive me,” I blushed. “But a bacon roast just makes my mouth water, like crazy.”“Well, no one else is gonna see us,” she smirked. “So you and I can be as animalistic, as we want.”At that, I knew that she was the right one for me! “Oh, I love you!” I gasped, embracing her. “You’re perfect! “Oh, my lucky star.” I nearly swooned, before she and I shared a kiss.“How do we get the roast?” she asked.“Oh, I know a place.” I nodded. “Mmm, I love the sound of this, already.” she purred. “Follow me, my dear.” I beckoned. We then ventured to the Makin’ Bacon, and I knew we were getting close, as the smell of bacon grew stronger. “Mmm, what an aroma.” Lizzywise purred, again, licking her lips.“We’re getting closer.” I smiled, as we finally reached a metal grate that led to the dining hall of the Makin’ Bacon. I rattled it open, and said to my bride-to-be, “After you, dear.”She rose up, and I heard her greet the owner, Nessie, “Good evening, toots.”I followed, and greeted, “Heya, Ness.”Nessie finally saw me, and gasped, in relief, “O-Oh, it’s only you.”“You were expecting maybe Beelzebub?” I asked, cheekily.“I, uh…?” the cyborg waitress stammered.“Well, anyway,” I chuckled. “Allow me to introduce my bride-to-be, Lizzywise.”“Bride, huh?” Nessie asked. “Surprising, isn’t it?” I chuckled, again.“Yeah, but congrats!” Nessie nodded. “Uh, what can I do for you?”“We want the finest bacon roast, please,” I answered. “We’re on a date, and I want it to be a special one.”“You got it.” Nessie nodded, turning to the kitchen to prepare it.I turned to face Lizzywise, took her hands in mine, and grinned, “You’re gonna love this!”“Oh, I can’t wait until our wedding.” she sighed.I purred, back, nearly getting lost in her brown eyes, “I promise, it’ll be a wedding you’ll never forget, and not to mention our only wedding.” We shared a kiss, as we kept waiting for the roast, and Lizzywise grinned, “Our feast will be ready, soon.”“And we’ll have our first romantic dinner.” I chuckled.About half an hour later, Nessie called out, “Order for Monstywise?”“Ah, yes!” I gasped, noticing the foil-wrapped roast in her tentacles. “Thank you!” I then pulled out a big stack of cash, handed it to her, and said, “Keep the change.” I turned back to my bride-to-be, and sighed, happily, “Let’s go, angel-face.”“Good luck, you two.” Nessie chuckled, eagerly counting up the money I gave her.As Lizzywise and I made it back to the sewers, we went to a roomier part, to set up our date. “Ah,” I sighed. “The perfect spot.”“And no one to bother us.” she added. Suddenly, something else caught my eye: an old table, but was still in good condition. “Huh, I don’t know who would toss this out,” I mused. “But I guess it’s ours, now.”“How convenient.” she agreed, noticing a pair of chairs, in another corner.“Oh, this town was crazy, before I even came here.” I sighed, recalling the craziness that practically powered the whole town. As we sat down to our dinner, I unwrapped the foil, revealing the succulent roast, inside, and letting the smell of bacon waft through the sewer. “One whole bacon roast,” I chuckled. “All for ourselves. “Um, how about you take the first bite?” I asked.“Oh, Monstywise, there’s no one else, around,” she chuckled, baring her sharp teeth, and licking her lips. “So we can both eat this, without people staring.”I was overjoyed to hear that, and I gasped, “Oh, this gets better and better!” And, with that, we dove right in, and tore into the roast, like animals! After a few minutes, my bride-to-be and I snuggled up, together, and I sighed, happily, kissing her cheek, “At last, I have someone who’ll take me as I am.”“And that was a lovely roast, too.” Lizzywise purred, back. “By the way, what should I know, about you, big boy?”“Well, I do sense fear, I can see other people’s deepest fears,” I began. “And I can change into one’s fear, but mostly for self-defense.”“Amazing.” she smiled.“Also, uh…” I gulped, remembering what I used to do, before befriending Globitha.“What’s wrong?” Lizzywise asked.“N-Nothing…” I shook my head.“Are you sure?” she asked, again.“Y-Yeah, I’m fine…” I replied, forcing a smile.Surprisingly, Lizzywise didn’t pry further, but she snuggled closer, and vowed, “I would never leave you, Monstywise, no matter what.”I teared up, slightly, and thought, “Thank you, guys.” I finally spoke up, answering to her, “And I’ll never leave you, for I love you.”“I love you, too.” she replied. That night, we gathered up old cushions, and other comfy materials, to make ourselves a makeshift nest: we found an old mattress, some pillows, and extra stuffing, and soon, our little home was practically complete. “Perfect.” I nodded. Lizzywise jumped onto the new nest, and purred, happily, “Mmm, so comfy.” I joined her, we snuggled together, and she continued, “But this is the best.”“Oh yes,” I agreed. “Much better than sleeping on cold, hard concrete. “You know,” I sighed. “I’ve been lonely, down here, for a while.”“Oh?” Lizzywise asked.“I was feared by so many, but then, Globitha was the first one who wasn’t scared of me,” I went on, sitting up. “I admit, I was a bit bummed out, at first…”“You enjoyed scaring people?” she asked. “I used to, but not anymore,” I explained, rather sheepishly. “I’ve changed, for the better.” I didn’t know how to tell her about how I used to eat innocent people, for survival, and I was afraid of what she’d say, if she knew.“Well, Globitha hasn’t stopped being your friend, right?” Lizzywise asked. “Of course not.” I replied. “And neither did the boys, right?” she went on.“Right.” I nodded.“Well, then?” she asked. I only sighed, but she reassured me, kissing my cheek, “Don’t worry, I’ll still remain yours, forever.”I hugged her, tighter, and thought, to myself, “This must be a dream, but how can it be a dream, when I can feel her, on me? “This is real,” I kept thinking. “This is really real…”“Let’s get some sleep, now, hmm?” she suggested, resting her head on my chest.“Yes, love.” I nodded, smiling, again. As she purred, drifting off to sleep, I teared up, again, and thought, “Thanks, guys…” As I slowly fell asleep, myself, I only wondered how our wedding would turn out; I knew I already thanked Robot and Monster for bringing Lizzywise into the world, but I also knew that they’ll be invited to the wedding, when it happens.
